Foster kids get life changing technology for school

Back to Posts

Earlier this summer, hundreds of kids in foster care in southwestern Florida received a gift that has the potential to make all the difference in their education.

In May, Angel Armies — in partnership with Governor’s Faith and Community Based Initiative, the Department of Children and Families (DCF), and the Florida Coalition for Children (FCC) — donated money to the Florida Children’s Network to purchase laptops for children in their area. Something as simple as a computer can give a child both the joy and the confidence needed to succeed in school and at home.

As the country continues to explore remote and virtual learning in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, having a laptop allows kids to have more interaction with their teachers and classmates in these uncertain times.

Take a look at your generosity in action and some sweet “thank you’s” we got from a few of our laptop recipients — including a very happy and grateful child, Pablo, who is a straight A student and said, “I feel so special; now I’m going to be even smarter!”

You have the power to change the lives of vulnerable children across the country. We humbly ask you to consider donating to Angel Armies, knowing that your generosity has the potential to bring joy, dignity, and long-lasting impact to children in need.
